Hiding in plain sight
The overlooked critical success factor for third-party inspection programs
Learn how enabling, managing, and supporting third-party inspection companies drives compliance and public safety during this panel discussion with fire officials from Maui and Nampa, plus an inspection contractor's perspective.
Third-party inspection programs require active management.
Inspection companies operate outside your organization, but their reports and follow-through set your program's compliance rate. LIV is committed to the entire ecosystem, not just within fire departments. That's why Inspection Partner Success is now included with LIV’s Third-Party Inspections solution, all at no cost to fire departments.
Maui Fire Department and Nampa Fire Protection District were LIV platform customers long before Inspection Partner Success launched in early 2026. Both departments signed up right away. Since IPS launched, compliance across LIV’s IPS-supported departments — Maui and Nampa included — is up 10%, reaching 88%.
On the panel, fire officials from Maui and Nampa will share what changed for their inspection companies and how long results took. Brooks Cato of Fire Protection Services brings the contractor's perspective from Georgia, where his team submits reports across multiple departments.

What is Inspection Partner Success?
While LIV's Third-Party Inspections application manages the reports coming in from third-party inspection companies, Inspection Partner Success is one of LIV's standard services designed to support the contractors submitting those reports.
That support comes from LIV's Partner Success Specialists: certified code inspectors, many of them retired fire marshals. They review every report that comes in, follow up directly with the inspection company when something's deficient, missing, or incorrect, and stay with it until it's resolved. The same team also aligns with the department's fire marshal and prevention staff on goals, processes, and protocols, through regular meetings and full visibility into results.
